Alex Schotten

Alex Schotten found his way out of addiction in October of 2016 and has made it his life’s goal to give back to the society he once took so freely from. He founded Lifted Poets Society as both a Collective and a Resource: a safe space to share, view and discuss art, as well as a safe place for knowledgeable, certified, and genuine guidance to a healthier way of living. Author of Tomorrow Stole Today: A Collection of Daily Poetry and I Learned How to Love from Heroin, Alex’s days are spent tackling recovery and wellness through a comprehensive approach that focuses on individualized nutrition and rehabilitation training alongside creating safe spaces for people struggling with substance abuse and mental health to share, express and publish art.
