The mission of the Investigator-Initiated Trials (IIT) Program is to provide support for investigator-initiated research that advances medical and scientific knowledge about Braeburn's product and relevant disease states.

Braeburn will consider providing funding and/or medicinal product for proposals and protocols that align with its areas of research interest.
- Use of long-acting injectable buprenorphine in underserved treatment settings (e.g., low barrier clinics, harm-reduction settings, criminal justice, and other non-traditional treatment settings)
- Use of long-acting injectable buprenorphine in hard to reach, high-risk, or underserved populations (e.g., unhoused, criminal justice-involved individuals, older adults, minority groups, health inequity-impacted populations, patients with comorbidities)
- Evaluating long-acting injectable buprenorphine treatment outcomes, including real-world evidence, quality-of-life assessments, patient-reported outcomes, health economic, and clinical assessments
